Lt. Commander Talia Mirrors working from the Rebel Alliance's base in the Minos Cluster assembled a team to establish a presence on Socorro in an attempt to gain the trust of the mostly smuggler based world, and give the Alliance a new supply chain of badly needed parts and revenue. This team is to not reveal it's connection to the Alliance and work as an independent entity that reports to Talia. Talia chose to send Nig Nig the Ewok as the leader of the mission, apparently guided by some unseen force.
