Mobile Suit Gundam RPG

So, this is the blog area I'm setting up for my forthcoming Gundam RPG. If you're interested in playing, just join in this blogs conversation.

I'll be using BESM Second Revised Edition and the setting will be just before into the beginning of the Zeon Independence War. This means you will not be starting out with a Gundam, but mobile suits will be introduced through the story depending upon what you as a group do. Right now, I'm thinking Sunday afternoons will probably work best, but those interested let me know if that works or not. I'll post mission summaries from the RPG sessions if I remember to here in the blog at zcrew.org.

Gundam Universe for RPG

Well, here's some details for planning. From looking at the timeline http://www.gundamofficial.com/worlds/uc/background/timeline.html I've decided we're going to start in U.C. 0072. So, the Principality of Zeon has been formed, but is not at war yet. This puts us just 1 year before the first mobile suits are developed by the Zeons.

Here is information on the different sides of the Universal Century time-line if you're looking for origin information for your character. Remember, we're starting in U.C. 0072 so some of what is stated here has not happened yet.

What you want to do for your character is up to you, subject to GM approval, of course.

I'll probably be kicking you to do just that. I'll probably be getting the second ed soon, just so we'll have a couple of copies floating around. Sunday afternoon would be fine as far as I know. So yeah. I dunno.

So, what kind of characters do you want and or are you looking for?

Gundam Characters

I am looking for humans, obviously, and I'm pretty open to what your skills and occupation are. Engineer, Scientist, Mom, Military, whatever. Origins can be from earth or any of the sides, but obviously you will have been relocated for the game. Since this is pre-war there is really no Zeon or Earth faction to choose from, but your background may come into play once things heat up. I'm going to run this one pretty loose, but there's plenty to play with since they don't really define anything outside of White Base in the show. I'm going to look for some source info that I'll be basing my universe on, then I'll post a link so you can look for an area of origin you like. The big thing is, despite the name, no one's starting with a Gundam!
