Review: Bamboo Thai Bistro

Bamboo Thai Bistro is located in the Mid-Town area of Tulsa, Oklahoma at 51st and Yale near LaFortune Park. It is a small building on the corner that looks average on the outside, but is surprisingly well decorated on the inside with a nice atmosphere. Despite the nice atmosphere, prices were quite reasonable with most entrées under ten dollars.

Of course, what really matters is the food, and this restaurant did an amazing job. They serve shrimp chips at your table before you eat, much like a Mexican restaurants serve tortilla chips, which made my son's day since he loves them. It's hard to impress me, especially in Thai food because I have had a lot of it, and I cook a lot of it. They had an amazing peanut curry bursting with flavor and a decent amount of heat, that actually impressed me. I ordered it hot, and on the Thai House scale, I'd say it came it at the high end of medium. My wife ordered a mild Pad Thai, and even without a kick, it was very flavorful. The food presentation on both dishes was very eye catching.

Although I have only visited once so far, I plan on returning and this looks like a nice new Thai restaurant for the city of Tulsa.
